AOY & ROY Standings Update

Hello everyone,

We have posted the files for the updated AOY and ROY standings. They can be found at either the ROY 2018 or AOY 2018 pages on our website. Each page contains the same file, with AOY points followed by the ROY. Here is a link to one of the pages:

We are very busy finalizing logistics for the Shearon harris combined CKA/KBF Trail event on June 9th. Some advance notice: We have reserved the LongLeaf Shelter at Harris Lake County Park for the Captains Meeting on the evening of Friday, June 8th.

This is the time of year when many of us need to replace gear. If you are a CKA angler in 2018 you receive a discount at our sponsor Get:Outdoors. Show them your name on an event roster for 2018 and the staff will set you up!

See you all soon!

AOY and ROY Updates

Hi everyone, and thanks again to all who fished at Hickory. We have created new pages for the 2018 ROY and AOY standings. AOY and ROY charts with the top of the standings as well as pdf files of complete standings can be accessed at the links below. We will update them periodically.

The TD’s have noticed that the early AOY race is tighter than it has ever been in years past and there are many new names, as well as familiar names having great early season runs. The ROY race is also exceeding our expectations, and it is great to see so many new folks competing hard in the events. Additionally, it looks as though the new, expanded points system will create increased shifts in the standings as the race continues. In short, keep grinding!

We are grateful for everyone’s participation and we’ll see you all at High Rock this coming Saturday for the combined CKA/KBS event!

AOY standings update

Hello everyone and thanks again to all of the anglers who recently fished with us at Hyco.

We are posting the CKA AOY update file (see below) so that everyone can have a look at the official standings after one event. Given that qualifying spots are at stake for KBF Nationals (our Top 5 get a ticket) and the Tournament of Champions (top 15), it is important that the numbers be correct. Double check the list against the event standings on TourneyX. If you think you see an error, contact CKA Tournament Director Wayne Butler. Note also that the (R) designation next to a name indicates a 1st year angler.

As it stands, Bob Dainton has punched a ticket to the Tournament of Champions because he won 1st place at Hyco. Bob is a local kayak fishing pioneer and a CKA regular. Congratulations Bob!

The rest of the field is wide open this early on so prepare for our event on Lake Hickory on March 31st, get signed up and fish hard to gain ground or reinforce your position.

It’s a long season and now is the time to grind and stack points!
