At long last, here is our schedule for next year! The decision making process changes every year, and this is how we arrived at the new schedule: We listened to feedback. Anglers who told us about favorite lakes, driving time and spacing of events were heard. This year’s schedule has a tighter geographic radius, returns to some favorite lakes and expands the multi-lake option. We increased cooperation with other regional trails and events. Here are a few important updates for the Gate City Classic: ID Code: For CKA anglers, we will release the ID code at 8 pm on Friday night, following the non-mandatory Captains Meeting. There will be no ID card – write it on your hand or a card. Hi everyone, Well, Hurricane Florence saved her worst for last so far as central North Carolina is concerned. We were hit with catastrophic flooding caused by torrential rains that swamped the area over the past 36 hours. The CKA tournament directors discussed the matter extensively among themselves and also with KBF and Get: Outdoors. Our final determination was that damaged roads, closed launches and flooded lakes made the event impossible to hold this coming weekend.
