CKA Mid-Season Update
First, we want to begin by thanking each and every angler who has fished with us this season. It has been a wild, unpredictable and dangerous spring and we didn’t know if anglers would take the risk of heading out. So it’s with great pride that we tell you our attendance is up this season, and it’s with tremendous gratitude that we thank you.
In the second place, this is where things get real. With four events to go, anything can happen. One good or bad event can change anyone’s fortunes in the ROY and AOY races. Based on historical experience, it looks like this year’s races will again go to the wire.
A number of things are on the line. As of now, four anglers have qualified for the Tournament of Champions. They are: Larry Moua, James Wevers, Charles Crews and Sammy Wilson. The Rookie of the Year will qualify, along with at least 21 other anglers. The top 25 fish that event. Remember, however, that if you do not pay member dues, you do not keep your points. We will continue collecting those fees in person, continuing at Hickory later this month. Paying the member fee allows you to keep your AOY points, qualify for the TOC and also earn a potential at large qualification for the KBF National Championship.
Much else is at stake as we head into the second half: entries for the On The Water Innovations/Texas Two-Step Trailer giveaway, ROY and AOY prize packages, and more!
Everyone stay safe. We will see you at Hickory on June 27th!
