{"id":5037,"date":"2021-08-16T05:33:35","date_gmt":"2021-08-16T10:33:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.carolinakayakanglers.com\/?p=5037"},"modified":"2021-08-16T05:43:15","modified_gmt":"2021-08-16T10:43:15","slug":"east-vs-west-anglers-choice-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.carolinakayakanglers.com\/?p=5037","title":{"rendered":"East vs. West Angler\u2019s Choice Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This weekend is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carolinakayakanglers.com\/?page_id=4810\">Lake Mayo and Lake James Angler\u2019s Choice<\/a> event and there have been some questions on the format and what it means for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carolinakayakanglers.com\/?page_id=908\">Angler of the Year<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carolinakayakanglers.com\/?page_id=3395\">Tournament of Champions<\/a> qualifiers.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Prizes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Because we had a couple winners that were not paid members, we opted to add an additional qualifying spot for this event for the ToC at Santee Cooper lakes. We also have the bonus prizes for each lake:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Highest Score will receive a Champion award and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carolinakayakanglers.com\/?page_id=3395\">Tournament of Champions<\/a> Slot<\/li>\n<li>2nd Highest at each will receive a pair of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.solarbat.com\">Solar Bat<\/a> sunglasses<\/li>\n<li>3rd Highest at each will receive a $50 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakattack.us\">YakAttack<\/a> Gift Certificate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Points and Payouts<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are 2 options for this event based on turnout, so push as many folks as you can to participate!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Option 1 &#8211; Less than 30 anglers at either lake:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Standard points and payouts of the combined total as if it was just a typical multi-lake CKA event.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Option 2: More than 30 anglers a both lakes:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>10% field payout at each lake, Points scores per lake. Ie.
