New Addition to CKA Big Bass Gallery

The CKA website is more than just a list of rules and event details. Over the years, certain sections have been developed to document your history as competitors at events. One of the more popular sections is the Big Bass gallery, where we document the biggest fish caught in CKA tournaments.

This week, we added a new fish to that gallery – Larry Moua’s giant 24.25″ Bass, caught at Shearon Harris last weekend. Larry’s fish won the ZeeBaitCo Lunker Length prize which goes to the longest fish caught at each CKA event! Please visit the Zee Bait Co. website and check out their amazing selection of plastics and terminal tackle.

As for the gallery, we only post bass 24″ or longer to that page. Why? There are two reasons. First, our sport measures by length and Catch-Photo-Release (CPR) is one of the fundamental aspects of our sport.

Second, it’s because in North Carolina, a Largemouth Bass of 24″ or longer qualifier for the North Carolina Angler Recognition Program (NCARP) certificate. It’s a simple form and small fee for a great citation featuring unique art by legendary wildlife artist Duane Raver. Congratulations, Larry – get your certificate here: https://www.ncwildlife.org/Fishing/Fishing-Records/NC-Angler-Recognition-Program-NCARP

Browse the “Tournaments” section of the website for more photo galleries, too!
