A Charity Event for Drew Blair
On October 25th, 2020, Drew Blair woke up and headed outside to his truck. As usual, he was planning on spending the day at Shearon Harris reservoir catching bass on his beloved frog pattern. Only his truck, kayak, fishing gear and rods were not in his driveway. His kayak was recovered, but his other fishing gear was a total loss. So was his pedal drive.
Drew is a CKA angler, a friend, a brother and a fellow competitor. CKA is asking the North Carolina kayak community to join and help Drew replace his stolen gear. And because so many of us have enjoyed fun days with Drew on the water, we are going to have some fun replacing that gear: by catching fish.
This will be a week-long event, from Saturday, Oct 31st to Saturday, Nov 7th. It coincides with the CCKF tournament at Shearon Harris on Saturday Nov. 7th, and ends that same day at 4 pm.
Donations
- TourneyX has graciously donated tournament support and a charity page. The entry fee for the event is $40. All entry fees from this tournament go directly to Drew Blair’s Paypal account.
