Kerr Lake (Bugg’s Island), NC/VA Overview In 2019, CKA paired up with a Virginia kayak fishing club (VKBC) for a friendly border war. We called it the Battle on the Border, and nearly 100 kayak anglers fished the event. We continued the event in 2020 with comparable success. In 2021, the Battle on the Border has expanded to invite more anglers and clubs. This year, 5 clubs will participate – three from Virginia and two from North Carolina.
