CKA Tournament 1
The Burlington Bash
presented by Faircloth Chimney Sweeps and Wildlife Removal
March 16th, 2024
Lake Mackintosh, Stony Creek, Graham-Mebane and Cammack
The Burlington Bash is back! Established in 2019 to highlight the fisheries along the Haw River basin in Alamance County, the Bash celebrates its fifth-year anniversary in 2024. Don’t let the smaller lakes available for this event fool you – they have a big history.
How big? Well, the only verified ten pounder caught in CKA competition was landed during the bash, and the smaller lakes have put up some huge limits over the years, too!
It’s a fun event, the drives are easy and the lakes are stacked with bigs this time of the year. That’s how the 11th annual CKA Angler of the Year Race starts – right at home, at the right time and on the right lakes.
This is a multi-lake event on the Burlington area lakes. The largest of those lakes is Mackintosh, a lake familiar to CKA. The other three lakes – Cammack, Stony Creek and Graham-Mebane – are relatively new to the Trail. With the exception of Graham-Mebane all are Burlington City lakes with special restrictions. Please abide by all state and local rules. A few general points:
- please bring exact change for launch fees. Lake authorities stress this point, and it speeds up check in. Your launch fee is not included in the sign up.
- If you contact lake authorities and ask them to open early, then any angler who is present at that time can enter, pay and launch.
- CKA cannot determine all opening times. The time posted on Fishing Chaos will apply to all anglers, regardless of when gates open.
More information about each lake’s launches is at the end of the post. Please read it all.
