CKA 2022: The Year in Review
The 9th regular season of the CKA Trail series began on Falls Lake in March. The wind was strong that day but the turnout was stronger, and the trend continued over a busy season that concluded on Lake Tillery in November at the Tournament of Champions. Over the course of nearly eight months, CKA anglers travelled and fished North Carolina’s best bass fisheries. The 4th annual edition of the Battle on the Border was a year of firsts. In 2019, Carolina Kayak Anglers (CKA) paired with Virginia Kayak Bass Challenge (VKBC) for a friendly inter-state tournament to be held on Kerr Lake in July of that year. Nearly 100 kayak anglers fished the event. The prize? Bragging rights, and a trophy to prove it.
