We rarely hold tournaments at Tuckertown, a lake that we took a chance on this year having only fished once there before. The gamble paid off. Storms swept through the area Friday, breaking a long heat wave. Low humidity, cool air temperatures and cool water temperatures greeted the 60 anglers showed up to a perfect morning with a strong bite. 54 anglers competed in event #3 at High Rock Lake. High Rock fished very well this year, producing limits for more than half the field. In the end, the ROY race tightened up and new names appeared on the rookie roster, 3 more CKA anglers qualified for the KBF 2020 National Championship and Guntersville, an additional $280 was raised for Heroes on the Water and many anglers also competed in the Boonedox Yadkin Slam, where CKA angler Joey Sullivan won the Bass Division. Former CKA director Larry Anderson left us a real gift last year when he came up with the idea for this event: 4 lakes, 5 launches, all within a few miles of each other and 3 of them new to the series.
