Carolina Kayak Anglers will hold this year’s Tournament of Champions [TOC] on Lake Tillery in Stanly County. There is no cost for the anglers for this event but anglers must qualify by winning an event or being in the top 20% of the club (spots will roll down). The 4th annual edition of the Battle on the Border was a year of firsts. At the check-in, for example, former Carolina Kayak Anglers (CKA) director Wayne Butler showed anglers a photo of a Smallmouth Bass he caught that day. In 2019, Carolina Kayak Anglers (CKA) paired with Virginia Kayak Bass Challenge (VKBC) for a friendly inter-state tournament to be held on Kerr Lake in July of that year.  Nearly 100 kayak anglers fished the event.
