CKA Tournament 6 Kerr Lake (Bugg’s Island), NC/VA

The Battle on the Border July 13th, 2019  Overview We enter uncharted waters here for CKA anglers. CKA has never fished Kerr Lake, and it will be the farthest north and east our trail has ever reached. It is also the largest lake we have ever fished. AOY/ROY update

The race for Angler of the Year has tightened up, with Will Lambert and Sammy Wilson Jr. closing ground on Joey Sullivan. Could Sammy achieve a combined ROY & AOY title? Can Joey regain his momentum? CKA Tournament 5: Randleman lake

Randleman Lake June 22nd, 2019   Overview Welcome anglers to Event #5 of the 2019 CKA tournament season, and welcome back to one of our favorite lakes! It is also known…

In the file linked below, the anglers who paid the member fee to retain points are listed first (1-50), while those who did not are listed below them. Joey Sullivan has a strong position but several other anglers remain in striking distance. One win and a handful of top 5 finishes could change everything in the final half of the season! We will update again after Randleman and also post an update of those who qualified for the Tournament of…

Shearon Harris Fish Habitat Restoration

Shearon Harris Fish Habitat Restoration

We invite CKA anglers to participate in this great project to improve fishing at Shearon Harris Reservoir. As some of you know from previous posts, the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission is recruiting volunteers to participate in this effort, which is part of the Sportfish Restoration program. By participating in this project, anglers will work with other volunteers (including other fishing clubs) to improve fish habitat at one of the nation’s most famous Largemouth bass fisheries. This is a great opportunity for CKA members to show that kayak anglers support…
