The 2019 Season and Gate City Classic The CKA 2019 Tournament season came full circle on September 28th when we held our final check in at Get Outdoors Paddlesports in Greensboro, North Carolina. 3rd Annual Socks & Cookies Kayak Charity Bass Tournament

In June of this year, several CKA anglers signed up and competed in an online charity event run by Socks and Cookies, a 501-C non profit that raises money to send care packages to American military members stationed abroad. CKA anglers who fished that June event spoke highly of how it was run and also of the quality of competition and non-cash prizes that they received in competition. August 3rd, 2019 Scott Kerr was a new lake to the CKA Trail in 2018 and we are returning to it by popular demand. We are also adding an optional twist – a random draw team event that will take place on the side! Kerr Scott is located in the northwest Piedmont, near Wilkesboro. After 6 events, the following anglers have qualified for the Tournament of Champions: Melvin Yang (1st place, Burlington Bash) Joey Sullivan (1st Place, High Rock) Sammy Wilson (1st Place, Tuckertown) Will Lambert (1st Place, Randleman) As it stands, the cash prize pot is over $1,000.
